Papertrey Anniversary Challenge- Day 3

Day 3's challenge was to create a tag and matching gift bag. Here is my project:

Papertrey Anniversary Challenge- Day 2

I am so happy to hear that Maile Belles will be designing stamps for Papertrey this year! The Day 2 challenge was to create a card inspired by Maile. I have nearly every stamp set that Maile has released and one of my favorites is Sketched Shapes. Here is the card of Maile's that inspired me.

And here is my take. I pretty much CASE'd her card:

Here is my take on the challenge for the first day of festivities at Papertrey Ink. Happy 8th Anniversary to a wonderful company!

Here is the color combo and sketch I chose:

You are sombody's reason to smile

A while back I took a She Art class from Christy Tomlinson. I have played around a bit but have only produced one completed project. I have several backgrounds complete but am scared to ruin them by painting something on top of them. For example, here is one background I finished close to a year ago.
I want to paint a heart (with a flag background) as the focal point and add the words "freedom lies in being bold" but I've been hesitant. I think I leave the canvas on my desk to remind myself to be bold and do it already!

Here is the canvas I did complete as a birthday present for my 11 year old niece. She has it hanging in her room so I hope she liked it!
If you cannot read the words, it says "You are somebody's reason to smile".

Chemistry

Christmas break was good for my crafting! I spent a little time in my craft room nearly every day that I was off over Christmas. I wanted to play with Lizzie's new Love Potion stamp set. I used my "potty people" from one of Kelly Purkey's Studio Calico's set (I went to a class of her's while I was still in California and that is how she referred to them and it has stuck for me) along with the + and = from PTI Get to the Point and masked the sentiment from Love Potion.
