A New Year's card and wine tag

Taking inspiration from Cristina again, I came up with this New Year's card and wine tag to take to my brother-in-law's house.

CAS-ual Friday 10 Minute Craft Dash

I decided to play along with the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week. The challenge was to create a holiday card in under 10 minutes. Since Christmas is over I decided to make a Christmas thank you card. I will admit, at the 10 minute mark I still had to adhere my panel to my card but I blame that on stopping to clean my stamps while creating. I'm a "clean as you go" stamper. So, I could have shaved a few seconds off my time.

I'm usually a slow creator, making up my design as I go. This challenge focused me to have a plan before I started. I may turn this into a Christmas card for next year.

Papertrey Make It Monday #97: 2012 A la Carte

This week's Make it Monday at Papertrey is to pick any of the MIM challenges from this past year that you may have missed. Well, that was easy, since I did not officially participate in any of them I had plenty to choose from. I picked the MIM #96 Patchwork Die-cuts by Melissa Phillips.

And here is my creation:

Thanks for stopping by.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop: December

Blog-hop-logo
I had a chance to play along this month with Papertrey's December Blog Hop. Here is the challenge:
December-inspiration
I chose to accent with soft stone ink, shimmer white cardstock (for the window) and snow glitter to soften the pine cones. I love that banner die and curved the sentiment on my block to fit the banner.

Merry Christmas Eve

Here are a couple of cards I made this Christmas. This card by Cristina Kowalczyk was my inspiration for the first card. Scroll down to the mistletoe card. I didn't have that set but used the Holiday button bits set as a stand in.

Then I had to come up with a way to use the left over scrap from the mat stack die and came up with this card:

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Late post of Thanksgiving

Well, better late than never, right? I decided before I post a few Christmas and New Year's cards I should post a couple things I made last month for Thanksgiving.

This is a card I made for two of my close friends who came all the way from California to visit us in our new home in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Not only are they wonderful friends, they share my love of crafting and we were able to spend a little of our visit getting crafty!

Here are the name plates I made for the table:

And lastly, a special little pumpkin name plate for my friend's sweet little girl:

Next post, current holiday makings :)
