Happy Sunday

I was excited to find out that I was one of the random winners selected by Nichole for the November Blog Hop! I never win anything so I am super excited. Maybe this will fuel my desire to update the blog more regularly.

After seeing so many lovely cards made with the Bells & Boughs stamp set, I decided to pick that set as my prize. I realize that this set is out of stock (boo!) so my runner up set is the new Background Circles if they don't want to wait for the Bells & Boughs to return. Two Maile sets, you could say I am a definite fan of her stamps and style!

I've been working on my Christmas cards for the past week or so. Here is a card that has been heavily CASED by Heather Nichols card here.

I used Basic Grey's jovial paper pad, along with Pure Poppy, Vintage Cream, and Ripe Avocado cardstock. The ribbon is Fine Linen saddle stitch. I'm not sure if you can tell but I sprayed the damask snowflake with glimmer mist (wheatfields). I just love that hanging ornament. Tag Its #9 has got to be one of my favorites in the series.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

Papertrey November Blog Hop

I could not resist playing along with this month's blog hop. Take a look at the inspiration photo below.

This is Christmas to me! While I love all of the nontraditional color combos that I see, I am a traditional girl at heart. I took my inspiration from the red and white presents on the stairs. I received my Papertrey order on Wednesday and the first thing I HAD to play with was the Quatrefoil cover plate die. I loved the look of Dawn's card with kraft on kraft, so I had to try it with my favorite neutral, Rustic White. The little winter penguin set was sitting by me so I grabbed the snowflakes to fill in the spaces. The sentiment is from Verve's Richly Blessed set.

I stamped some snowflakes in Vintage tea dye and edged the mat stack and card as well. While I was on the red and white kick I decided to make another simple card with the poinsettias from YOF and added a punch of green with the sentiment.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. For those of you brave enough to face the Black Friday sales, be safe!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, it has been a year since I have updated the blog! I promise I have been making cards but have been very bad at taking photos. I've been on a mission this week making Christmas cards. I will take pictures and get them posted. But for now here are some of the Thanksgiving cards I made and mailed (always the hardest part...getting them in the mailbox on time)!

I'm loving the Papertrey wine tag die.

Hope you all have a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
