Spring Card Camp 2 Day 4

Day 4 of Spring Card Camp 2 was Make a Statement with Sentiments by Nina Trapani. I used the Thanks and Encouragement Word Mix stamp and die from Simon Says Stamp. I made 5 cards and still have little sentiments left over to make a few more!

Spring Card Camp 2 - Day 5

Day 5 of the Spring Card Camp 2 was stencil shading with Lydia Fiedler.

Spring Card Camp 2 - Day 19

Day 19 of Spring Card Camp 2 was must-try monoprinting by Dawn Woleslagle. I think this was my favorite technique of the series! While I only completed 2 cards, I made several more backgrounds to turn into cards. My favorite is the mod trees background.

Spring Card Camp 2 - Day 6

Day 6 of Spring Card Camp 2 was creative color blocking by Laurie Willison. I decided to make a few Christmas cards. I still have background left over to make more cards!

Spring Card Camp 2 - Day 3

Day 3 of Spring Card Camp 2 was dry-embossing with stencils by Cathy Zielske.

Spring Card Camp Day 14

Day 14 of the Spring Card Camp was Alphabet Cards with Laura Bassen. I've now completed 17 of the 20 days and made 49 cards! This is the most cards I've made in 4 weeks, other than at Christmas. Looking forward to Spring Card Camp 2!

Spring Card Camp Day 12

Day 12 of the Spring Card Camp was DIY Ink Pad with Jennifer McGuire. I only have a small number of re-inkers so I went with an earthy, nature-type vibe. I think this was one of my favorite techniques from the card camp.

I completed 16 of the 20 days for the Spring Card Camp 1 and made a total of 47 cards! I look forward to starting Spring Card Camp 2 today!

Spring Card Camp Day 19

Day 19 of the Spring Card Camp was Second-Generation Stamping with Jennifer McGuire. My second stamping turned out much lighter than Jennifer's.

Friday 1 May 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 17

Day 17 of the Spring Card Camp was Stretching Word Dies with Julie Ebersole. I used Zig watercolor markers on the background on the first card and distress oxide inks for the circles on the second card.

Spring Card Camp Day 16

Day 16 of the Spring Card Camp was Impressionistic Copics by Kathy Racoosin. This technique was quite different from my usual style. I used printer paper to get maximum bleed onto the cardstock below. I don't see myself using this technique again, but it was fun to experiment.

Sunday 26 April 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 10

Day 10 of the Spring Card Camp was Glitter Gel by Lydia Fiedler. I used Bo Bunny rose gold glitter paste to stencil my backgrounds. It took me a while to figure out how to turn them into cards. Once I paired the rose gold with black, I finally liked the design. It may be April, but I have one Christmas card done for the year!

Spring Card Camp Day 8

Day 8 of the Spring Card Camp was Simple Shaker Card by Cathy Zielske. I didn't have a rectangular word die so I used a rectangle die with a word die. I wish I had a more narrow rectangle so that there wasn't so much space around the "thanks" die, particularly in the card on the right.

Spring Card Camp Day 13

Day 13 of the Spring Card Camp was Word Dies by Cathy Zielske. Here is my take:

Spring Card Camp Day 11

Day 11 of the Spring Card Camp was All the Rainbows by Dawn Woleslagle. I don't think I've ever made a card with a rainbow, and I think I went a little crazy.

Wednesday 22 April 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 3

Day 3 of the Spring Card Camp was Cut Backgrounds by Yana Smakula. I don't have any background stamps that would work with this technique so I used a cover plate die and pieced different colors together for a similar effect.

Spring Card Camp Day 9

Day 9 of the Spring Card Camp was Inking Stencils by Channin Pelletier. I think this was my favorite technique so far!

Saturday 18 April 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 7

Day 7 of the Spring Card Camp was Double Word Dies by Laurie Willison. I don't have any word die frames, so I improvised.

Friday 17 April 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 6

Day 6 was Pieced Cards by Kristina. I decided to use up some pattern paper and use both templates, resulting in 7 cards!

Thursday 16 April 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 5

Day 5 was Watercolor Masking by Debby Hughes. I trimmed down a coverplate die to mimic Debby's card.

Spring Card Camp Day 4

Day 4 was "Coordinating Die Cut Trick" by Julie Ebersole. I actually used the die cut on the inside of my card, so I only have one card to share.

Spring Card Camp Day 2

Day 2 of the Spring Card Camp was "One Stamped Paper, Two Cards." I stuck to the same color scheme as Kristina.

Spring Card Camp Day 1

Day 1 of the Spring Card Camp was faux embossing folders. My image got a bit blurry as I embossed 10 layers, so I chose not to use the embossed folder as a card, but here are my two embossed cards. I like the subtle effect.
